Welcome to Plympton Flyers Little Athletics

Plympton Flyers run a Sunday morning athletics program at Hamilton Secondary College from October through March.

 We encourage children aged from U/6 to U/17 to strive to achieve their best in the full range of track and field athletic events.

 Ages 3 & 4 are also catered for in our fun games and skills-based Tiny Tots program.

2025/26 Season registration is open!

The 2025/26 season starts on Sunday, October 12th 2025, @ 9 am.

Athletes may ‘Come and Try’ with a maximum of two Come and Try attendances before deciding to register for the season.

To register for Come and Try, visit the Sport:80 Member Portal,  create your Family account and select Come and Try as the Product.

How do you know when it's Plymptons 89/90 Athlete of the Year and Coach Samantha's Birthday?Don't worry, she'll tell you!🎉 Sprint into Coach Samantha’s Birthday Training Session! 🏃‍♂️This week, the Plympton Flyers training session is all about celebrating Coach Samantha’s birthday — and she is doing it her way: sprints and relays!We also invite anyone who brings their little flyers to training (i.e., parents, grandparents, or older siblings) to join in on the fun. Last week, Coach Scott taught two Plympton Mums how to do a block start at training, so why not get everyone involved!🔥 Expect:✅Coach Samantha’s favourite sprint warm-ups ✅ Coach Samantha’s favourite sprint drills to boost speed & technique ✅ 4×100 and 4×200 continuous relay reps (who wants to take on Coach Samantha’s mothers relay team?)Coach Samantha is generously sharing her birthday training session for athletes who would rather leave the sprinting and relays to others, allowing:Coach Jack to do some Long Jump Coach Steve to do some Discus Coach Scott to do some Javelin or Hurdles (on demand)Bring your energy, a fun t-shirt to wear and your fastest feet! 🎂💨

U11 Gia bought a brand-new Plympton Track Jacket (size 14) on Sunday but it went missing during the meet – likely a mix-up around the 400m start/finish area. No time to add her name to the tag yet, so it would've been easy to mistake for another. If your child has a jacket could you take a quick look for an extra at home?
