Welcome to Plympton Flyers Little Athletics

Plympton Flyers run a Sunday morning athletics program at Hamilton Secondary College from October through March.

 We encourage children aged from U/6 to U/17 to strive to achieve their best in the full range of track and field athletic events.

 Ages 3 & 4 are also catered for in our fun games and skills-based Tiny Tots program.

2025/26 Season registration is open!

The 2025/26 season starts on Sunday, October 12th 2025, @ 9 am.

Athletes may ‘Come and Try’ with a maximum of two Come and Try attendances before deciding to register for the season.

To register for Come and Try, visit the Sport:80 Member Portal,  create your Family account and select Come and Try as the Product.

Run and throws training are going ahead. No TJ.

If we don't get rained out, here's what's planned for this weeks training. U9+ only. 5-6 PM at Hamilton.Sprints: U9 and up – Coach Samantha will focus on longer sprint reps in a Swedish relay format – this will be a challenging session, so a good sleep and nutritious dinner will be essential.Throws: U9 and up – Coach Steve will be guiding our athletes through the basics of Shot Put, building strength and technique.Jumps: U11 and up – Coach Jack will help our athletes learn the fundamentals of the Triple Jump.
