General Information

Plympton Flyers Little Athletics Club runs a regular competition for our athletes from U6-U17. We also cater for ages 3-4 in our Tiny Tots program.

Our meets are held most Sundays from October through to March, 9.00 am at Hamilton Secondary College, 815 Marion Road, Mitchell Park, and encourage all our athletes to participate in regional and state competitions if they wish.  For full details please see our Full Season Program.  For details regarding our fees please see our registration page.

We offer a training program, which is conducted by coaches every Tuesday during the season at 5:00 p.m. at Hamilton Secondary College. The costs of training are included in your registration fees. Attending regular training gives your child the best opportunity to develop their skills and love of athletics, and to achieve their personal best on competition days.

We have an annual recognition program for all athletes showing consistent participation, recognising personal best performances, and achievement of club and state records. These are presented at our AGM and Presentation Day at the end of every season.

Our program is only made possible through parent support, and all parents are required to complete a role on regular competition days and any special events participated in throughout the season. As a parent or guardian, you play an important role in delivering an enjoyable program for athletes.  Each week parents work together to help run the program and it simply wouldn’t work without them. Our club has benefited tremendously from an involved parent group and it makes an enormous difference to each child’s experience.

We have an active and passionate committee of management.  If you are interested in joining our committee in a large or small capacity we would love to hear from you.

Age Limit

The athlete’s age on December 31 determines the age group an athlete performs in for the season. The club conducts events for U6 to U17 age groups. Athletes must be at least 3 years old to be registered with the club.  Please see the Age Group Identifier to learn which age group your child will be in.

Uniform

Plympton Flyers LAC requires ALL U6-U17 registered athletes to wear their correct uniform to all events held by the club and when competing at inter-club or association events.

Uniforms are available to be purchased at home meets during the summer season.
