🌟 Plympton Flyers – Tuesday Night Training! 🌟 Tuesday night training is ON for all athletes U9 and up, running 5:00–6:00pm! Here’s what we’ve got lined up: 💥 Shot Put – Coach Steve 💥 Long Jump – Coach Jack 💥 Hurdles – Coach Scott 💥 Long Sprints – Coach Samantha will focus on maintaining technique under fatigue to help finish strong in all running events (with 90m and 150m reps, and for those Athletes who always want more, a medley sprint relay to finish) Bring your water, your energy, and your best effort! See you on the track! 🟦🟡✨

Tomorrow’s forecast has dropped to 35C, so we’re good to go with a full meet. The more shade the better, so please help with the setup and pack up of marquees where you can. If your group has plenty of help and you need a break from the sun, we can always use an extra hand in the canteen/BBQ and timing assistants. U13–U17 athletes doing the 200m/300m hurdles, please arrive by 8:30 am to help set up and pack up the hurdles. U10B and U10G high jump: if your group is large, consider using the “8 jump max” challenge – each athlete gets up to 8 total jumps (clears or misses) for the event, then they’re done, which keeps things moving, gives everyone plenty of turns and out of the sun quicker 👌

🥳🔥 Huge congratulations to our very own Plympton Flyers throws coach, Steven Mugge! Steve has been part of our club since his junior athletics days and later as a dedicated parent volunteer. Last night, he smashed the M45 SAMA State record in discus with a 36.53m throw. What a legend! 🌟
