A Community Athletics Club
in Adelaide's South-West

Plympton Flyers Little Athletics Club runs a regular competition for athletes from U6 to U17, and we cater for ages 3–4 in our Coles Tiny Tots program.

We're a parent-run club with a strong record of friendly competition, athlete development and family involvement — and we'd love to have you join us.

Sundays for Competition,
Tuesdays for Training

The summer season runs mid-October to mid-March. All meets and training take place at Hamilton Secondary College, 815 Marion Road, Mitchell Park.

01
Sunday Meets
Competition meets are held most Sundays from 8:45 AM, with athletes competing in track and field events grouped by age. We encourage athletes to also participate in regional and state competitions if they wish.
See the season calendar for dates
02
Tuesday Training
Coached training runs every Tuesday during the season at 5:00 PM, for athletes U9 and above. Training costs are included in your registration fees, and regular attendance gives your child the best opportunity to develop their skills.

Age Groups

An athlete's age on 31 December determines the age group in which they compete for the season. The club runs events for U6 to U17, and our Coles Tiny Tots program caters for ages 3–4.

Use the LASA Age Group Identifier to work out which age group your child falls into for the upcoming season.

Uniform

Plympton Flyers requires all U6–U17 registered athletes to wear the correct uniform at all events held by the club, and when competing at inter-club or association events.

Uniforms are available for purchase at home meets during the summer season. See our Uniforms page for full details.

Parent Involvement

Our program is only made possible through parent support — and our club has benefited tremendously from an involved parent group.

01
Parent Duties
All parents and guardians are required to take on a role on regular competition days and at special events. Each week, parents work together to help run the program — it simply wouldn't happen without them.

02
Management Committee
We have an active and passionate management committee that keeps the club running season after season. If you're interested in joining in any capacity — large or small — we'd love to hear from you.
Meet the committee or email ply@salaa.org.au

Awards & Recognition

We run an annual recognition program for athletes who demonstrate consistent participation, achieve personal best performances, and set club and state records.

Awards are presented at our Presentation Day at the end of every season.
