SUMMARY:Special Thursday Night Hill Sprints Training - 12 February 2026 - CC Hood Park Reserve\, Panorama
DESCRIPTION:👟 PLYMPTON FLYERS – SPECIAL HILL SPRINTS TRAINING NIGHT 👟 \nWe’re excited to invite our flyers to a special hill sprint session at CC Hood Reserve\, Eliza Place\, Panorama\, led by Coach Samantha. \n📍 Meeting point: CC Hood Reserve Public toilets\n⏰ Time: 5:00–6:00pm \n🏃‍♂️ Session focus: Short and long hill sprints \nWhy Hill Sprints for Young Athletes? \nHill running is a safe\, effective\, and age‑appropriate way to develop strong movement patterns in our little athletes. \n✅ Lower Impact\, Safer Running\nRunning uphill naturally reduces pounding through hips\, knees\, and ankles compared to flat sprinting — making it an excellent choice for growing bodies. \n✅ Better Running Technique (Without Overthinking)\nHills encourage upright posture\, strong knee drive\, proper foot placement.  Little Athletes learn correct sprint mechanics naturally\, without being told to “run faster”. \n✅ Strength Where It Matters\nHill sprints activate key muscles young athletes need for sport – glutes\, hamstrings\, calves\, core stability. \nWe look forward to seeing our Flyers take on the hills together 💙

SUMMARY:Weekly Training- 18 November 2025
DESCRIPTION:🏃‍♀️🤸‍♂️💪 Run. Jump. Throw. Repeat.  \nJoin us for our weekly Plympton Flyers Training Night – where speed meets hops and heavy things go flying (safely\, of course)! \n🏃‍♀️ Coach Samantha – has a fartlek session planned. 4 laps. 4 lanes. 1600m in total. Each lap and lane is different to cater for our short and long sprinters and even our 800m superstars! \n(What’s a fartlek? No\, it is not something your brother does in the car on the way to Little Aths!). \n🏃‍♂️ Coach Jack – will be focussing on triple jump\, so why not join him and triple your jumping fun? \n💪 Coach Steve – Shot put your way to glory! Coach Steve will be introducing glides and stepping across the circle for those advanced enough\, with a focus on using your legs to generate power! \n     Coach Scott – by the end of Coach Scott’s hurdles training\, you won’t know if you are a Plympton Flyer or a sugar glider! \n
