SA Power Networks State Relay Championships

Sunday 15th December 2019

Wear your colours with pride and represent your Centre at the State Relay Championships!

With a variety of track and field relays available to the Under 9’s and above, get together with your friends in this team based Championship. There is an Under 8’s Shuttle Relay to introduce them to this wonderful day, as well as the opportunity for the rest of the family to be involved with the 4 x 100m ‘Mums & Dads’ Relay. Medals are presented to the top three placed teams in each event, in each age group.

Don’t forget about the March Past either! This year’s theme is all about REPRESENTING YOUR CENTRE. We want to see you in YOUR centres colours with creative and wonderful outfits and costumes.

Head to your Centre this week and ask them about entering a team with your friends now!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Athletes must be registered with an affiliated Little Athletics SA centre by no later than Sunday 1st December 2019 and have competed in at least one (1) meet at your registered centre to be eligible to participate in this State Competition.

 

Toyota State Multi-Event Championships

Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd February 2020

Late Entries: 5:00PM Friday 7th February 2020 (Please note there is a 50% fee increase for late entries).
Entry Fee: $22.30 per athlete.

Challenge yourself in the ultimate test of athletic ability at the Toyota State Multi-Event Championships!

This unique Competition has a set program that athletes participate in to gain points for each performance, with the top three overall highest points scorers presented with medals in each age group. There is a mixture of running, jumping and throwing events, displaying athlete’s all-round athletic ability.

Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups compete over one day in a pentathlon (5 events), with the Under 14 age group competing over two days in a hexathlon (6 events) and the Under 15 to Under 17 age groups competing over two days in a heptathlon (7 events).

This Championship is also where the Under 15 State Team athletes are selected to represent South Australia at the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC). To be considered for State Team, Under 15 athletes must nominate their intention to be selected prior to the Multi’s. CLICK HERE for more information.

  • Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups must have recorded a performance equal to or better than the above Qualifying Standard in at least three of the five events to be conducted for their age group on or prior to Sunday 2nd February 2020, and have recorded a valid performance in the other two events.
  • Athletes in the Under 14 to Under 17 age groups must have recorded a valid performance in each of the events to be conducted for their age group on or prior to Sunday 2nd February 2020.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Athletes must be registered with an affiliated Little Athletics SA centre by no later than Tuesday 31st December 2019 and have competed in 15 events at their registered centres meets to be eligible to participate in this State Competition.

State Individual Championships

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th March 2020

Entries Open: 12:00PM Wednesday 22nd January 2020.
Entries Close: 11:59PM Wednesday 19th February 2020.
Late Entries: 5:00PM Friday 21st February 2020 (Please note there is a 50% fee increase for late entries).
Entry Fee: $11.20 per event for the first 3 events, then $5.00 for an additional fourth or fifth event. Capped at $38.60.
Age Groups: U9-U17.

The Little Athletics SA Grand Finale is here! The State Individual Championships (SIC) are the pinnacle Competition for many athletes in the Under 9 to Under 17 age groups.

Compete alongside the best athletes from around the State, all coming to showcase their abilities. All standard individual events are held for each age group, with athletes being able to select up to five (5) of their favourites. Only the top three in each age groups event will be awarded medals.

This Championship is also where the Under 13 State Team athletes are selected to represent South Australia at the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC).   • Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups must have bettered or equalled the qualifying standard for the nominated events on two occasions on or prior to Sunday 16th February 2020.
  • Athletes in the Under 14 to Under 17 age groups must have recorded a valid performance in the nominated events on or prior to Sunday 16th February 2020
    • For the 800m, 1500m and 1500m Walk events, the athlete’s best performance must better or equal the qualification standard.
